Fiji communicated and updated the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) in 2020 to facilitate clarity, understanding and transparency of the NDC. Fiji’s updated NDC will maintain the 30% target for the Energy Sector as presented in the initial NDC. To reflect progression Fiji commits to achieving net zero emissions by 2050. The Updated NDC also highlights, Fiji’s strong intent in strengthening implementation through the enactment of its Climate Change Bill by 2021.
