The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change applauds the Northland Rugby Union team for organising a community clean-up in Korovou Town as they prepare for the Viti Levu elimination round against Rewa in the Skipper Cup 2026 challenge this Saturday.
Working with local business owner Vani Bera, the team sought the Ministryโ€™s support, which provided 50 rubbish bags, gloves and hand sanitizers to help the initiative.
As Environment and Oceans Month continues, Minister Hon. Lynda Tabuya encouraged all Fijians to โ€œDo The Right Thingโ€ by disposing of rubbish responsibly.
โ€œEvery action counts. Together, we can keep our rivers and oceans clean, protect marine life, and build a healthier, more sustainable Fiji.โ€
Vinaka to Northland Rugby Union, Vani Bera and everyone involved for leading by example and showing that protecting our environment is a team effort. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š
