The Ministry staff met with the founder and youth members of the Naidiri Marine Biodiversity Park to discuss the long-term sustainability and conservation of the community-led initiative.
Officially opened by the Ministry in 2022, the park is dedicated to restoring fish stocks, protecting coral reefs and inspiring young people to become environmental stewards through hands-on conservation and education.
The Ministry commended the group’s commitment to protecting Fiji’s marine environment and encouraged them to strengthen partnerships with communities and other youth groups undertaking similar conservation efforts.
