The Ministry proudly acknowledges the Nakasi Youth Volleyball Association for taking the initiative to clean communities around Nakasi, demonstrating that young people can play a leading role in protecting Fijiβs environment yesterday (11.07.26).
Minister for Environment and Climate Change Hon. Lynda Tabuya commended the youth volunteers for leading by example.
βProtecting our environment is not the responsibility of Government alone; it is the responsibility of every Fijian. When communities step forward to clean their surroundings, they are not just picking up rubbish; they are building civic pride and inspiring others to do the right thing.β
The Ministry encourages more youth groups and communities to take ownership of their surroundings while reminding all Fijians that the best solution is to dispose of rubbish properly in the first place. Together, we can build a cleaner, greener and more beautiful Fiji.
