Protecting Fiji’s environment is a team effort, and today the Naitasiri Rugby Team showed that leadership extends beyond the rugby field.
The Minister for Environment and Climate Change commended the team for choosing to spend their team bonding exercise cleaning up Nausori Town today (25.07.26), collecting litter and helping create a cleaner environment for the community.
Hon. Lynda Tabuya handed over clean-up materials, including recyclable sacks, hand gloves and hand sanitisers. She thanked the team for leading by example and wished them every success in their upcoming Skipper Cup matches.
The Minister stated, “We should not be picking up your rubbish. You should be disposing of your rubbish properly in the bin.”
Hon Tabuya encouraged the public to speak up when they see someone littering and politely remind them to “Do The Right Thing” by disposing of their rubbish responsibly.
Let’s all do the right thing for a cleaner, greener Fiji.
