Australia and Fiji, in partnership with Tuvalu, invite Expressions of Interest to host a side event or join the Pre-COP31 Stakeholder Program, 5–8 October 2026, ahead of COP31 in Antalya, Türkiye.

The Governments of Australia and Fiji are pleased to invite Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from stakeholders wishing to host a side event or participate in the Pre-COP31 Stakeholder Program, to be held alongside the formal Pre-COP31.

Pre-COP31 will provide an important platform to amplify Pacific voices and advance dialogue on the region's key climate priorities ahead of COP31.
About the Stakeholder Program
The Pre-COP31 Stakeholder Program will feature a range of engagement opportunities:
- Plenary sessions
- Panel discussions
- Roundtables
- Workshops
- Networking events
- Keynote presentations
Who can participate: Civil society organisations, the private sector, academia, research institutions, youth organisations, community groups, development partners, and other interested stakeholders are invited to submit proposals to host an event as part of the program.
Alignment with the COP31 Pacific Partnership Policy Framework
The Stakeholder Program aligns with four policy pillars:
- Keeping 1.5°C within reach
- Enhancing access to climate finance
- Elevating the ocean climate nexus
- Amplifying Pacific voices and leadership
Innovative proposals that showcase both the challenges and the solutions to climate change across the Pacific are encouraged.
Important Information
- Expressions of Interest are open both for stakeholders wishing to host an event and those wishing to attend the Pre-COP31 Stakeholder Program.
- Each event proposal requires its own submission. Stakeholders are encouraged to coordinate joint proposals through a single contact person, as program space is limited.
- Submissions close Friday 14 August 2026 through the Pre-COP31 Stakeholder Engagement Hub.
