The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change welcomes the installation of new recycling drums at Ratu Sukuna Park through a partnership between the Pacific Recycling Foundation, Suva City Council and the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation.
Located in one of Suvaβs busiest public spaces, the new bins make it easier for people to separate recyclable waste, reduce litter and build everyday recycling habits.
Minister for Environment and Climate Change Hon. Lynda Tabuya praised the initiative, saying every small action counts.
βProtecting our environment starts with the choices we make every day. Every bottle recycled, every piece of paper placed in the right bin and every act of responsible waste disposal is an investment in the Fiji we want to leave for future generations.β
The Ministry thanks its partners for leading by example and encourages more organisations, businesses and communities to invest in practical solutions that help keep Fiji clean, reduce waste going to landfill and make responsible waste disposal part of everyday life.
