Fiji defines costed actions required to meet national 2035 climate targets.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has convened the National Validation Workshop for Fiji’s NDC3.0 Costed Implementation Plan (CIP) in Suva, bringing together Government, development partners, the private sector, technical experts and key stakeholders.
This is not just another climate document. The CIP is Fiji’s practical roadmap for delivering NDC3.0, detailing:

Financing needs and investment gapsPermanent Secretary Dr Sivendra Michael reminded participants that validation must ensure the plan is realistic and ready for implementation, benefiting people on the ground, not collecting dust on a shelf.
“We want this CIP to be a document that stakeholders can see themselves in, a plan that reflects our collective priorities and provides a clear basis for mobilizing the resources and partnerships needed to deliver Fiji’s climate commitments.”

Energy & Transport
Agriculture, Forestry & Other Land Use
Waste
Oceans
Adaptation & Loss and DamageThey’re examining costs, timelines, responsibilities, financing gaps, barriers and capacity needs so the final plan is both ambitious and deliverable.
Next step: feedback will be incorporated before finalization, giving Fiji a stronger, investment-ready roadmap for NDC3.0 and its 2035 climate targets.
The Ministry acknowledges the NDC Partnership, UNDP, the Government of the United Kingdom, the Climate Finance Capacity Support Programme and UNESCAP for supporting the development of the CIP.
